Coffee Maker Decisions
Coffee makes my mornings flow so much better. Several years we used a large stainless steel coffee pot to brew coffee on top of our stove. I was the only one that cleaned it even though my husband and I both made coffee. Residue always lined the pot and the joy of having grounds in the morning cup of java was frequent. Last Christmas I rebelled. The search for a coffee maker featuring my kind of comfort began.
Finding The Right Coffee Maker
My husband and I do not exchange gifts to one another during the Christmas season so I thought why not buy a gift for myself?
Growing tired of the 16 cup monstrosity and knowing that our kitchen remodeling plans included downsizing from an oven to a toaster oven supported my decision to rethink how we made coffee.
Researching any product I purchase includes craftsmanship and price. I also make a list of features I know I will use and enjoy. So the search was on and I looked at several different brands, price range and options over the time of two weeks. A lot of my kitchen appliances are from Hamilton Beach. I didn’t set out creating this scenario but when other appliances come and go it seems like the Hamilton Beach products stick around long past their warranties. With this realization in mind I traveled over to their site and looked at coffee makers featuring my kind of comfort.
It wasn’t hard to find a coffee maker I liked, the problem was deciding on one. The Black & Stainless 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with front fill sold at Hamilton Beach came to the top of my list when going through my list of features I wanted and my price range.
The one thing I miss the most through out my indentured servitude with the 16 cup peculator was waking up to the scent of a cup of coffee pre-programmed for my drinking pleasure. I love waking up to the scent of fresh brewed coffee! It is similar to some one saying, “Good Morning Grace, I made you a cup of coffee. Here, relax before you start your day and enjoy.”
This coffee maker has that and so m-u-c-h more!
Features made for my comfort
My coffee maker arrived a few days before Christmas and we fell in love instantly. Six months later and our relationship is going strong. It makes my coffee for me before waking because I program it and it obeys. It will also shut it self off in 2 hours if I get busy and forget. Never ever does it let grounds enter my cup and I can even program it for one to four cups of coffee. The removable water reservoir makes it easy to fill and snap back on. No fuss and no mess. Perhaps my favorite feature that I love is the pause and serve setting. If I am out in the kitchen before it completes making my coffee then it pauses the brewing while I pour a cup to enjoy immediately.
Convenience and comfort resides in our two room cabin nestled on the edge of the Ocala National Forest and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greets me every morning to remind me of yet another thing to be grateful for in life.
